From the time I was young, footcare profoundly interested me. I especially thought about those that could not take care of their own foot health. After obtaining my Nail Technician license back in 2005, I noticed the industry gap between “Beauty” and “Necessity”. I was bothered by the lack of foot/nail care information not reaching our senior population. I was particularly concerned with infection caused by incorrect toenail trims. In addition to my obvious concerns, what troubled me most was the pain associated with the neglect of routine footcare or not knowing a painful toenail could be corrected. This led me to where and what I do today…

In 2019, Alishia earned her Onyfix certification (Toenail correction services) which allowed her to offer relief to countless sufferers of ingrown and involuted toenails. In addition to Toenail Correction, Alishia provides evidence-based, and FDA approved footcare products, PodoExpert. These products are safe for Diabetics, those going through Chemotherapy, and children.

As a Certified Medinail Advanced Nail Technologist, and Master Nail Technician, Alishia also understands the need for sterilization of All implements and exhibiting safe practices. Alishia’s advanced disinfection protocols (Autoclave) earn her SSR Accreditation from the Medinail Learning Center.
In 2020, Alishia launched Toenail Correction out of her Idaho Salon, Akamai Body Works. “One of the greatest benefits of what I do is the referral process. I bridge the gap between the doctor and their patient (my client).” Alishia’s compassion for another’s comfort and safety go beyond her credentials of an Advanced nail Technologist, she has a passion for those that need help!
